I've been tagged by Angie and I now have to list 7 random facts about myself... (totally C&P from angie too)

Here's how it works:

1. Link to the person that tagged you and leave a comment on their blog, so that their readers can visit yours.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Share 7 Random facts about yourself on your blog.
4. Tag 7 random people at the bottom of your post, linking to their blog. Let each person know by leaving a comment on their blog.

Ok, well here are 7 completely useless facts about me:

1. I like my coffee - Colombian only - with cream only.
2. I only wear Birkenstock sandles
3. I hate going to the movie theatre.
4. I love CSI las vegas.
5. I use to surf in my teen years.
6. I play video games (PSP) after the boys go to sleep.
7. I didn't own a car until I was 30 years old.

Little project

Here's a little project I'm working on for a class in April - its UTEE, Crackle paint, Stickles, regular paint & masking.

It's a 4x4 canvas made like a book.

Oye

Totally forgot to blog the last few days. Spent most 3 hrs at the dr. office yesterday, why is there such a long wait. I like the office staff & drs. but I'm so ready to find another office because of the dang wait. And why do I feel like crap after being at the drs? Seriously I felt like I was coming down with the flu but I knew it was just from being at the doctors. Must be all the poking around on my sinuses, in the ears & nose that causes a rush of congestion from my head and into my gut.

I did a few projects & one layout today using the SGD kit. I stamped the background with green ink for some decoration.

Busy

I had a pile of projects that were waiting on that last final touch, so I dug in and finished them.

Jenni Bowlin bracket chipboard piece that I layer on top of KI Memories lace apple paper & Scenic Route graph paper. The chipboard letters are by CI that I painted with Crackle paint and topped with Glossy Accents.

A page of KI Memories lace number papers for H's 4th birthday.

Finally figured out what I wanted to do to balance this page - moved the title under the photo & added the journaling to the scallop.

Beach page using the new Grafton line from Scenic Route - Love it! I cut out some waves for a border and added Stickles to them.

Faith card

A lift from JB's site, I did this for the Doodle. I picked up a bunch of vintage ribbons the other day - Making Memories & Prima.

I spritz the off-white ric-rac with some ink water, I liked the backside of the ribbon where the ink soaked through. I also been having lots of fun making the paper flowers, been using them all over the JB paper layouts.

It's Tuesday??

Oye, where did the weekend go? I taught a class at the store on Sat. (family tree) and then Sunday was Easter so I guess that's what happened to the weekend.

I did do some scrapping the last few days but big camera battery finally died and I never got around to ordering another back up after the backup battery died a few months back. I did order a new one yesterday hopefully it will be here in a few days. Joe hid the sony camera somewhere and I still haven't found it.

Here's a sneak peak of the Scrappy Girl project I did, check out the site for more info on how to get this cute Jenni Bowlin papers/stickers project.

Scrappy Girl Kit projects

Couple of projects using the Scrappy Girl Design kit.

Jenni Bowlin papers - I cut out some flowers and added stickles for outline.

I immediately saw a house when I picked up the triangle shaped chipboard. I made a chipboard 'leg' so the house can stand up like a frame. I used orange Chalk ink as the base and covered it with Tim holtz crackle paint - frayed burlap (it chipped off in spots).

I stitched the bird onto a piece of cardstock for stability. Covered a chipboard heart with pattern paper & outlined the pattern with stickles.

This was fun to do, I kept getting interrupted and I couldn't spell a few of the countries correctly but I knew them.

Some stuff

I finally got around to making an Easter banner for meself. I used all QK dies and it took less than an hour. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out, its about 2 feet long. Excuse the cr@ppy photo, its 10pm and the lighting is horrible in my room.
Another page using Jenni Bowlin stuff, its missing something but I can't put my finger on it yet. Tomorrow I'll look at in the daylight and work on it some more. Maybe journaling strips, the page is leaning to the left.

Some jenni bowlin

I got my hands on some Jenni Bowlin when I was at the store on Saturday, by the end of the day the JB display was wiped out. It was all those treasure hunters! Good thing I spotted it when I got there in the morning.

I cut some circles out of the paper & added felt flower for dimension. Those cute tickets are perfect for dates. I also used the Fiskar scallop punch to make a strip of black scallops with the horizontal strips at the top.

I have another layout almost completed, I need to print a picture. I'm tired and H has finally passed out in my bed, just need to get the "baby" down for the night.

One card

One little card from scraps of ribbons & some DSD papers. Those birds are so much fun to play with.

Not much happening

I have a cold and a migraine going on so I'm down for the next few days. I have a few projects that are due by mid week and I do not have time to be sick. I've finally got out of bed at 1pm and had a coke hoping it would help the migraine meds kick in. The banging has simmered down and I can see out of both eyes now.

I'll have some new projects & layouts up in a few days.

Faux Pas

Mommy's little fashion faux pas, poor guy. I would just put a tshirt and some legwarmers on nico while we were in the house. We would go out looking like this sometimes, but he would be in the sling so people didn't get to see this fab outfit.

Love elsie paper (click), Sweetwater (black weave), Bisous chipboard letters & CI labels.

Left of the star

I realized after I uploaded the picture of Nico's hanging, I forgot to put the star down. I was waiting for the Starlite glitter to dry and got sidetrack with taking pics.

Lets try again

Blogger is still messing me, its acting all wonky and pictures are uploading , not uploading correctly or just plain old errors.

I made a little wall art piece of H. meeting Buzz at Disney last year. Buzz was the only character that H. wanted to me. What a great smile he gave me, I took that photo .

I stamped some stars under the photo, added some blue Stickles to the stars & "Far Out!" stamp. I cut around the heart and tucked the photo under the slip, I 'm out of red Stickles so I'll add some around the stitching later.

I love my camera, practice, practice practice!.

Weirdness going on with blogspot - pictures are showing up all wonky on my end.

Wall layout using a Dream Street chipboard book page , papers and a bird stamp that I embossed then watercoloured in with Twinkling H2Os.

I was picked!

I was selected to be on the Scrappy Girl Designs team as project/class person. Not really sure what that title encompasses, but its so cool to selected.

Holiday project

I made this pull-out accordion book for my MIL. I used the Corina box from CI, SEI Christmas line, some fuzzy Thickers and Stickles. The box & pull-out is painted a light blue to match the SEI papers.

I made myself finish it in one sitting. About 5 hrs of work maybe, I got nitpicky with the stickers/rub-ons and wasted time. The backside is going to be of Christmas morning.

Cleaning the house

I've been putzing around the house the last few days and cleaning my area. My space gets so cluttered when I'm working on projects that I have to take a few days off and reorganize & clean up my area before I can move on to other projects.

I finally got around to sorting my cardstock by colours instead of scattered amongst each other in the Cropper Hopper paper bins. I need to some more of those organizers, they work much better than mailing boxes.

On a roll

The birds on a tree paper is too cute to cut up so I made a 12x12 lo with it and add 2 little birdies and a talk bubble over the little hear. I then added some Glossy Accents to the little birds wings, the heart and inside the 'a'. The chipboard letters are Scenic Route that I edged in black ink to try to match the scallop border.

The picture Aug 2006 and I have lost a chin! I'm down 25 lbs.

Create - mini book

Using up some scraps from the M2R kit. I used Inque Boutique stamps, Love Elsie Zoe charms stamps & Jack+Abby alphas. These are my favourite pages from the 10 page 7 gypsies book.

Flowers

I did a topiary this morning, took about 30 mins with all the cutting. I have a bunch of these dollar spot buckets from last year and spotted them in the closet last night. Thought the flowers and birdie would look cute as a topiary. Very easy to do. I also added some Stickles to the flowers & bird's wing for some pop.

I can't decide if the bucket needs something, maybe some ribbon wrapped around it haphazardly.

Dream Street Papers & M2R

I got my Moments to Remember kit on Friday, I didn't have any idea what was inside. I was so happy to see Dream Street Papers & some felt ribbons.

Here's 2 layouts & a card that I did this weekend. It really didn't take me the whole weekend to make them but housework kept getting in the way.

I used Diamond Glase on the 'HI' and on the flower center. I add some brads to the right side but the balance is off, gotta fix. I'm also redoing the journaling, its all wonky. I'm not sure what I want to say so I just made a big journaling box with filler, now I just need to trim it down succinctly.

I love this picture of H and his party hat. That cool felt flower ribbon is the perfect width and has adhesive on the back too. I had a horrible time with the super wide adhesive ribbon, kept sticking to itself.

Close-up of the journaling and the birdie, I added some stickles & diamond glaze to its wing. I also rubbed some Stickles onto the blue spots behind the bazzill cardstock.

Very simple card made from some scraps, this paper is really nice to work with, heavyweight and double sided. It also cuts very well ie no snags, tears, linting, core breaking through.
