The Savannah trip is next wednesday and I am not ready. The house needs to be cleaned from top to bottom, clothes set aside, food bought, menu prepped and meds refilled.
In the meantime, I've learned to knit backwards! Now I don't have to purl and my tension is more even. so jen...have you learned to purl yet?
Another set of fingerless mitts, mitts are easy & quick and satisfy my need to do something with my hands & mind. I have a couple big projects like scarfs & sweaters started, i pick them up and work on them every once in while. I have found if i work on something for a too long I start making mistakes. So dropping the work and picking something else up breaks up the knots.
We spent a lovely 3day weekend at Disney World, thanks to my wonderful inlaws. The boys came back with tans & I came home with loads of laundry. Henry helped pack his bags....he dumped out his clothes and replaced them with a powerranger outfit & a first aid kit. Yes, what every boy needs at disney world. Anywho he wore the same outfit for 2 days and swam in a pair of shorts, don't ask about skivvies.
I spent most of the day at the store scooping up new product (sassafras lass, Prima, quickutz), nico decided he wanted to stay the rest of the afternoon with Jen. She said it was okay, so I headed back home around 4pm. Crazy boy. He likes to hang out with the woman folk and play stockist for a few hours.
Another set of fingerless mitts I made over the weekend, these were real fun to knit up. Lots of yarn overs & knit 2 togethers to keep me entertained. I only had orange wool to play with, I need to start making a stash of yarn when its on sale.
Who knows what I've been doing the last few weeks but its definitely not scrapping. Having the printer out of commission created a brain blockage that I can not unclog. Hopefully hearing some good news this morning will help with the creativity.
So I call dell again and explain what is going on with the printer, I tell them its the printhead just send me a printhead. Thirty minutes later I get a dispatch notice that "something" has been sent via FedEx. Thursday morning I get a call from Joe "there is a huge box from Dell" so they sent a printer. I get home and unpack the printer, there's nothing in the printer - no carts or printhead. So as a trial I take out the printhead from the original printer [op] put in the replacement printer and run a test print - no go, same issue -not printing all the colours just cyan & magenta.
I chat Dell again, state the problem & case numbers associated with the 3 previous chats/calls. This time the guy says they'll send out a whole printer package not just a printer chassis. He stated "why did the previous agent just dispatched a printer when it looks like its a printhead issue", he was reading the chat session log and thinking outloud. So again today FedEx dropped off a HUGE box, the guy was like "what is in these huge boxes that I have delivered everyday". Luckily, the agent included 2 new ink cartrides to replace the 2 that I used up while they tried to figure out the problem.
I didn't even open up the printer box, I just popped in the printhead into the original printer and bam it works beautifully. So now I'm printing up a bunch of pictures, I haven't scrap in 2 weeks!
ARGGGHHH! My printer is not printing colours correctly and I need to print a bunch of 3x4 for some layouts. Dell is sending a new cartridge but that is not the issue, its the carrier but the guy at dell india could not understand what I was explaining. So tomorrow I'll spend another 30mins with dell trying to get someone else to understand that the print head is busted not the ink carts.
It has been almost a week since my last post, no excuse other than just slacking on the job. A few more cards and some knitting too. I stitched up some fingerless gloves for my cold fingers & made a roll brim hat for the boys. The hat is barely big enough for nico, methinkest the pattern is off, it states the hat will fit a head circumference of 20". Nico's head is barely 19" so I've been summoned to knit up another hat but bigger.
I love the waffle pattern in the fingerless gloves and the bubblegum pink wool yarn is really flashy.
