The boys are doing much better 24 hrs later, just a lingering fever and cough. Thank goodness nico only vomited once at 1am Friday, got in the shower, took some motrin and then slept until 8am. Woke up feeling good he said. He did take a dive after the motrin wore off so I'm staying on top of the meds dispensing.
It all started with Henry, he woke up with a sore throat 6am Thursday. Joe gave hims some water and vitamin c. Wihin an hour he was spiking a fever and whimpering. Called the pedi and had an appointment for 9.20am.
Poor boy he was miserable and just wanted to stay home in bed. They took a strep swap & flu swap which is a really long spongy qtip that they shove way up your nose. Fifteen minutes later the doc walks in saying "we have good news & some bad news, its not strep bad news its Influenza A -swine flu". She said its great that we caught it super early instead of waiting until the symptoms have worsened. She sent off a script for Tamiflu & Amantadine (another antiviral) and told me that H is in quarantine for 7 days starting today. No school, parks, malls, stores, etc until Thursday of next week. ARGHHHH!
By Friday he was better, not 100% henry. He still has that glassy eyed, pallor complextion and is sleeping a lot.
Today, Nico woke up saying he not feeling good. I gave him 2 motrin chewables and an hour later he is up playing with lego and acting much better.
RIP sweet Ginger...
