I'm back

We arrived back home late this afternoon, we've been gone since Friday but it sure does not feel like it. We had fantastic fun hanging with John & Donna at WDW. Here's a pic from the fireworks at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Party.

I have lots to catch up on tomorrow and then Rocky Horror Sat. night!

Little candy jar

A paint can of candy for H's teacher. So simple & cute, I hope she likes it.

Dental visit

The boys had their dental cleaning/checkup yesterday and did superb. The techs and dentist said they have beautiful teeth & gums and there are no issues. Yeah!

H wore his indiana outfit, he looks so cute and the office staff took a picture.

Nico sat still for his xray, the tech was so impressed that he sat there and didn't try to remove the mouth piece.
The dentist counting nico's teeth.
H showing off his 'pink stuff' for brushing technique.

Hanging out at the DQ

The other night was DQ dine out to raise funds for the H's school. Nico took this picture of me, he loves to take pictures especially electrical outlets & shoes.

Henry and I leaving DQ, henry in his indiana outfit.

Nico setting up his "b0obytrap" and is telling people to "watch out! its a b0obytrap".
H wore his costume to bed, including the bag.
Nico was lawnmower guy yesterday, he wouldn't answer to nico/nick/nicholas/etc only to lawnmover guy.

H as Indiana Jones

We were having issues with Indiana Jones costumes, they were really cheesy and expensive or just plain cheesy. So I picked up the hat & whip from Joann's for $10 and a button down canvas shirt from the Target clearance rack. Yeahhh, H is happy and had to put it on as soon as he was home from school.

He's also watching the new release and telling me everything that going on while we're watching it....just like me.
Playing with I.J. Lego set that has not been out of his hands for a week.
This guy comes around the corner and just stands at the foot of the bed....
"did i scare you mommmy? It's just me..nickawis."

Hey Grandma...

Latest pix of the boys can be found <----- Pics from the yard.

Photo Carousel

I picked up a 7 Gypsies photo carousel on Saturday along with the inserts and extra page protectors. Sunday evening I pulled out the scrap bin, misc. stickers & rub-ons and set about making a few pages. I had a few wallet size school pictures of H sitting at my desk, so that's what I worked on. The 4x6 size is perfect for mini pages and quick too.

Using the new Basic Grey arrow stamps & Cat Eye chalk inks.
Rub-ons, stamping, scrap paper, 7G labels. Left side has a sassafras lass robot stamp, I'm planning on journaling on the backside of the inserts.

MME star stamp in Brilliance silver, Fontworks journal stamp & 7G stickers.

Some more fall fest pics

Some other booths - chipboard & calendars.

KaiserCraft projects & family organizers.
One of the QK guys, I was sitting directly across from them and didn't see them most of the day. The lines at their table was over an hour long wait to do the make-n-take.
One of my tables of stuff, didn't get a picture of the other table of American Craft projects & stuff.
4x6 7Gypsies carousel, used as a recipe collector.
Another shot of the QK guys, you can barely see them out of the crowd of women.

Fall Festival

On Friday (3-oct), Jen hands me a bag with a 12x12 frame, a sheet of MME paper, a sheet of Halloween word lace paper and some ribbon - "Make a halloween frame for tomorrow". Nothing like a last minute project.
I used the lace paper as a mask with some pearl paint on the bottom half of frame, ran some gaffer tape around the picture window, threw on a paper pom-pom that was on my desk from a garland project, glued down 3 big buttons, added some black KaiserCraft rhinestone pearls and finally a scribble of black Stickles on some of the flourishes.

Here the finished Countdown calendar. Now if I could only get the Christmas countdown completed at least I have a month to work on it.
A candy jar using the clear paint can, the paint cans were flying off the table.

Cute wooden blocks with the boys pictures on either side. These blocks are by MME and include the glue, sanding paper & brush. This is the best wooden set I have worked with - very smooth large blocks & a great glue (you all know how much I despise liquid glue).
The paper & embellishments are from the MM Fa La La line.

Halloween book

Here's a sneak peek of the Halloween mini-book I will be teaching at the end of the month. I will have some kits available if you are interested but can not take the class. I left out a couple of the pages so not to give it all away.

I used a 6x6 black Cosmo Cricket album, BG Ambrosia line, Doodlebug Black Sugar paper for the title, QK Dragonfly alphabet and spiderweb.
