More teacher gifts

Using some leftover papers from the train trip project , I made another gift card holder. Once one project is done its some much easier to make multiples of the same project. less than 1hr of work, inking the paper took the most time.

Still have lots of papers, I dug around my closet and found this index box to make a quick gift.

I cut chipboard down to 3x5, glue a picture down to the front side and a piece of paper to the back with the date & topic.

Few more layouts

A couple of more layouts using the Eat Your Veggies June Kit - yummy BoBunny papers.
12x12 layout with 6 pictures - see I can do 12x12 and multiple pics too.

8.5x11 pages - all with EYV june kit - ac letters, kaiser bling & bo bunny.

12x12 single page layout - all stuff in the kit.

Gift card holder

One of the gift card holders for ds1 teachers. I found this concept on 2peas and ran with it. Making Memoires papers (old stuff) and Quickutz diecuts.

I stamped an owl on the big brad on the front & added some Glossy Accents to "for the teacher".

Goofy boys

Crazy baby N - he put on these googles that "aunt cissy " Jen gave him for his birthday. He ran around the house calling himself SuperBaby! and swinging a plastic pipe that goes to his tent. I had to chase him down and take away the pipe, he kept chasing H with it.
Then there's this goofball - sitting in the car on the drive up to grandma, he had the sun in his face so I gave him a hat to wear. I turn around to find him "wearing" the hat on his face! I spewed my coke and had to take a picture.

Layouts

Finally got around to taking some pics of my latest pages. I have a few other pages that are for dt work but I can't show until after the 1st.

H. and fingerpainting - love elsie papers, KI memories, Fancy pants felt, scrapworks tag.
H and his favourite food - yogurt w/ sprinkles. Scenic Route paper, bazzill cardstock, KI Memories lace paper, American Crafts letters.

Nico disappeared in the house one day and I could not find him, after 15mins of panic I finally found him asleep between the couch & the desk
paper - Cut N up (I think), Autumn Leaves stamps, Bisous chipboard letters, Scenic Route paper, Creative Cafe sticker (scallops)

It's friday?

okay where did this week go? I can not remember weds or thurs, monday & tues I was busy with meetings but what about those missing days?

I did one layout early yesterday and planned a chipboard book project for ds1 teacher. I've decided to use K & Co. Wild saffron papers & some chipboard emb. instead of the traditional teacher stuff. Now i just need to start working on it.

I'm heading out of town with the boys this weekend to visit family, so don't look for any pages/projects for a few days.

Nothing

I did not do anything scrapping related today just some backyard work - pulling weeds, raking leaves, swept the lanai and arranged some stepping stones. Now I just need to finish hacking up the philodendron and dig it out. Then I'll be all set to put in some pavers and grass seed. Can't wait to get the yard purty up.

I need to gather my supplies for a teacher book and get busy. The last day of school is less than 3 weeks away. Time to go through the pictures and print off what I want/need. I think I'll do a 4x6 index card size page that fits in a index card binder so the teacher can add her own 4x6 pictures.

I took Nico's binkies away finally. Friday, we went to build a bear so he could choose an animal that would take over his binki watch. He choose a black lab that looks just like our old dog Enzo. Nico gave up the binkies but after the doggy was sown closed he had a look of despair and teared up.

The first afternoon was horrible, he cried for a good 20 mins "i want my binkies" and then settled down for a bit just to start up again. The next day he asked me "my binkies?" I showed him "binks" the dog and he walked away. Today, monday, he hasn't even asked about binkies and took Binks the dog to bed.

Goofy boy - always has to have a bucket on his head.

Oye is blogger slow or what! Took forever to get these 2 layouts uploaded. I thought i took more layout pics but I can only find 2 in my folder. Save the rest for another day I guess.

Some old paper - Pebbles paper/cardstock weight, Heidi S. chipboard emb., 7 Gypsies stickers, piece of fabric,

MM Animal Crackers paper & stuff - I wanted to use this stuff so bad and all I produced was this layout! ughh wth.
BG sticker letters, 7 gypsies stickers.

Project

Finally got around to taking some pictures. I can't get the pics line up in a row, they keep centering themselves down the page. oh well, work on it later.

Family spiral book - K & Co. Ancestry line
I love making those crumbled paper flowers & actually stitched them to the paper.

I stamped the pages with some flourishes & brushed corduroy ink.

Used the tags as an embellishment & journaling block.

I'm teaching this mini book in June at the doodle.

Nico's is 3!

My baby turned 3 years old yesterday, WOW! Where did those 3 years go?

Jen & I packed the "Eat your Veggies" kit and they look fantastic & oh so pretty. I should have taken a picture of the kit packaged & piled up on the tables! This month kit is "beach" with the Grafton beach line from Scenic Route. BRB bub is digging in the pantry for chow.

Fed him some mac & cheese, peanuts & tomatoes (that's what he wanted) and now he's trying to feed himself with his feet!

Back to the kits...included in the kit each month is a sketch sheet (designs by moi) with 12x12 double pages, 8.5x 11 and cards. Also some months will have a mini project included. Shhh...one of the next 2 months will have a mini project using a circle book. If your interested in ordering the kits call or email whimsodoodle (link is on the right).

I need to add some layouts that I have done in the last few days, my machine is having fits with the usb ports and will not connect to the camera. So when I reboot the machine in a bit, i'll upload.

I've been busy decluttering/rearranging my space & scrap closet. I also have been spending a few hours a day uploading pictures to artscow & shutterfly. I think I have roughly another 3000 pictures to get printed before I'm caught up! I can't believe how many pictures I haven't printed, what was I thinking getting this far behind ughhh.

I wish there was a way to just click on a whole directory tree and upload it ALL. This picking one at a time is consuming and aggravating espcially when vista decides to spontaneous reboot itself.

NSD crop & a celebrity sighting!

Just got home at 5.30pm, I've been gone since 8am saturday working the NSD crop at the doodle. 36 hours of staffing/creating/eating/thinking & 3.5 hrs of sleep.

But this is cool, Paris Hilton was at the Push lounge next door, her bf was dj-ing the club. One of the paparazzi whispered to Jen that paris hilton was in the bar so keep a watch for her when the car moves to the door.

Next minute a slew of crazy scrappers are running through the store with cameras in hand and this is one of the shots. She actually talked/said some words with the crazies. Someone one said "happy nat. scrapbook day" (i'm sure just to get attention) and it worked, she turned to them and said "I like to scrapbook". She spoke some more and posed a few shots for them and then drove away in their caddy - no limo or driver. The crazies must have taken 50 pictures!

Check out the Doodle's blog for an hilarious post from the "crazies".
