On a roll...

I did another layout today, I'm on a roll just hope I keep it up everyday. I'm seriously digging QK Merry alpha. This is the first classic "fat" font that I own, all the rest of my fonts are skinni-minis . The boys emptied out a cabinet and 'found' a bunk bed, what a mess.

Another layout

I finished another layout tonight, a double sided one too.

I also got my scanner up and running under Vista, so now I can actually scan instead of taking cr@ppy photos.

Another one!

I actually did another layout today. This one is about Henry and his funny about the vein in his arm - "it's like a hose in my arm". I used Quickutz Bright (of Merry & Bright) and cut out an arrow. That bandaid paper is so old it doesn't even have a name on the back of the it. The bandaids at the top are QK too.

I made a 2008 calendar for Jen's birthday. I'm using the new QK calendar dies and a memo clipboard. I printed out the calendar from Publisher and covered up the month with that thin strip of paper. I only did January since I need more pictures from her. I think I'll be making a few more for gifts.

I did one!

I did do one layout today of sleeping Nico. I have about 5 more layouts worth of pics sitting here staring at me. I just do not have the energy, maybe a pot of coffee will help. Paper is Scenic Route, QK Merry alpha, moon & stars.
The nurse called to say H. EEG is normal. He had to lie still for 20 mins while the test was running. That's a long time for a hyper 4yr old but he did great. The only thing he didn't like was the no talking during the test reprimand.

Post Holidays

We went up to visit the inlaws for Thanksgiving and a visit. The boys love going up to see grandma, grandpaw and aunt cissy, I love shopping alone. Bil, Sil, Joe and I went to dinner and then a quick run through toysrus Friday night. I was shocked at the amount of toys and sale items still available at 8pm, I was able to get the tiny trike for nico and a Crayola art bin for Henry both 50% off. Those two items finish the Christmas gifts for the boys.

I'm working on a 7gypsies ring book using some Melissa Frances harvest papers & the Family Rub-ons. Next project are layouts!! yippeee, I've sketch out some ideas and need to dig up the papers I want to use. Hopefully I can work on them tomorrow afternoon after H. doctor appt., the neuro needs to get a baseline EEG for his charts. Here's a pic of H. showing off his bandaid.

Some ornaments

I lifted this idea from somewhere, Maya Road sheer snowflake book turned into ornaments. I dipped the ends of the flakes into glitter-beads and added some rub-ons by Creative Imaginations. The book has 8 pages so I made 8 ornaments and used a picture from the Santa sitting.

Once the ends dry I'll tie them up with some ribbon.

I swear I did another project today but I can not remember what it was/is. Henry is out of school for thanksgiving so its been crazy today. H & I did get our blood work done today, I thought it was going to be a cryfest but h. was a trooper. He was more interested in how the vacutainer worked than the pinch of the needle. He watched the woman working on him very intently and then watch me get my blood work drawn. Later he took off his bandage and said "look ma, I ate chocolate doctor will know". Funny boy.

Productive day

I finished up the frames I started Sunday night and started on the Ho Ho book for Henry. The first one is my fav.

This morning started off with a bang, joe found nico sitting on his bike. Nico somehow climbed up Joe's bike and sat himself down for a ride. I do not know how he climbed up there without the bike falling over. This picture was taken the second time nico climbed up . He scaled the side of the bike like a rock climber and did it under 30seconds.

Holidays are upon us

I worked 17hrs on Saturday, the boys were up at 7am on Sunday so I didn't even get to sleep in. I was so tired yesterday that all I did was lay around most of the day. I finally got a little perk up and made some altered frames for gifts. Today I need to finish up some Thanksgiving projects and make some snowflake ornaments. I'll upload pictures of later today.

I did pickup the Santa sitting photos from WSD on Saturday. There is a great pic of the boys together and one of nico pouting at Santa. I'm so behind on uploading pictures to picasa, ughh.

Is this thing working?

I wasn't able to get logged in yesterday, dang tooting zeus' hair.

Well, not much was happening yesterday anyways. I have been busy making my doodle party project and I'm 87% done. I've also been using up scraps of paper and pattern papers that I know I will not use in layouts to make lots of cards. So far I've made 22 cards in the last 24 hrs. Here's a preview.

My favourite stamp of late is the cute little owl from Rubber Soul.

We had a dr. appt with a neurologist yesterday to have a clinical diagnosis of AD/HD done on H. We all know he is hyper/impulsive/short attention/et.al so we are not surprised with diagnosis. Now we have something to work with and move forward.

I've been up since 4am and did 6 cards before the boys got up at 6.30am. I drug my papers out to the kitchen table since Nico wandered into my bed last night. I loaded up the boys into the Burley and walked to school, then me and whippersnapper headed off to store to do some Christmas shopping. I am done minus a Lego set and an item for FIL.

Christmas tree diorama

This was a fun diorama I did today in under 30 mins. wow, those ADD meds must be helping. I found these little tealight candle holders at biglots and thought they would be great to hold a diorama. Not my original idea but I did all the work and added some more stuff.

Home for the Holidays book

I put this book together in one day! I was handed a Maya Road house chipboard book and Cosmo Cricket papers and told to make something. Well here it is.
It's not the best picture, camera is acting wonky with the colors. I added a crackle 'roof' (plaid paints), felt tree and my own hand-drawn birdie.

Santa

I took the boys over to the doodle to have pictures taken with Santa. Henry LOVED IT, Nico wanted NOTHING to do with Santa.
He would not get near Santa or even look at him. This is the face nick had most of the time.
Here's a typical Henry shot, hanging behind the counter flirting with the ladies. I think he charmed Kristen out of 4 cookies!
Joe took this cute shot of Nico looking back at him. This was before he spotted Santa. That's his "wishlist" in his hand, Henry made a list for everyone out of the toysrus website.

Christmas makings

I finished up a project for Christmas. Its a recipe box I bought a couple of years ago and finally made it. I'm going to put 4x6 pictures in it as a gift.

I made this large portfolio to showcase H's artwork. I used Basic Grey Recess Line, 7gypsies stamps, stickers & metal, rubberstamps, Autumn Leaves stamps.

There are 10 pages front & back, I just added the first page. I used office binder holders to attach to the portfolio and gaffers tape on the ends of the papers. The last page is a large manila envelope to hold some artwork.

Had a scare yesterday

Monday morning Henry complained of an earache. I sent him off to school and made a pedi appt for 10am. All was fine at the visit, the dr. said it looked like the ear infection was subsiding but gave me a script just incase. Back to school we go or so I thought. Around 1pm Mrs. Jen calls and says Henry is inconsolable and wants his mom. I pick him up and he acts fine at home -running around, picking on nico, no fever and no ear complaints.

Tuesday morning I keep him home, he wasn't acting well. He was okay most of the day, just super whinny. Around 4pm he spikes a fever and starts acting loopy. I call joe and told him to get his butt home now. I call the nurseline, she tells me if his fever is below 101 he's doing okay give him the antibiotics and if his fever goes higher go to the ER. I throw him in the shower, joe shows up and I send him out with the rx. An hour later, joe's back home and we give H. his dosage. Within 2 hours henry is acting better and could sleep without whining.

Today he woke up without a fever and is acting like his old self. Both boys are out in the backyard shooting each other with nerf guns. Its such a beautiful day out and my boys are doing fine.

Now what can happen, this house has been sick for atleast 3 weeks now. NO more!

The rush is over

Finished up my projects for the fall fest, did the fall fest yesterday. Left the house at 5.30am and got home at 9pm, long day. Today i have a Christmas card class from 11am to 5pm at the latest. Tomorrow I'm just going to sit around and play with the boys. I do have to go food shopping sometime, the house is empty.
