Recoup

I taught a class at the MScrop in Oldsmar, saw a few friends that I haven't seen in over a year and talked, talked, talked. All that talking just wore me out!

Jackie outdid herself with all those baskets and raffles, there was tons of stuff to bid on.

My updated workspace

Here's some pictures of my room aka the walk-in closet. It looks like a mess but its organized clutter with labels. I did move my table out of the closet and back to the window, so I do not have to work on the bed anymore.

When I am done for the day, I clean up my space as best I can and put stuff away in their appropriate spots - paints in grid, stamps back into the box, inkpads in the basket, adhsives in the bin, qk in binder, etc. I've been pretty good and you can tell it has made more more productive and efficient.

Ignore the barenekid boy sitting on my chair, this is my desk. I am still working for the day so its a mess.
My ribbon jars just thrown up on the shelf, that little brown box is all I have of my childhood. That is the reason why I scrapbook, I need more history about me to leave my boys.
This Iris cart with the 12x12 bins is my all time favourite storage and tote. Joann's has them on sale 2x a year for $30. I have two units stacked, 6 bins each.
My asst. bins on the top shelf, each bin is labeled. 7G's items, metal labels & tags, disney stuff, chipboard shapes, Heidi s. stickers/journaling spots, punches, staples/clips and other stuff I can't remember and too lazy to get up from the laptop.
My paint storage, buckets of projects, to be filed box of stuff, cardstock.

This is where my desk use to be, I took a cookie sheet and hung it to be a magnetic board for ideas. Well it didn't help, actually I do not have a wall to hang it up next to my desk .
These are my favourite findings from T's dollar spot. They were filled with screws & stuff, I bought all T's had when they clearanced them out last year for a quarter per a 4 unit. They are perfect for holding brads, eyelets and other little stuff. I even have stuff hanging on the door, just stuff i don't know where it belongs or there is no designated spot - cables, ziplocs, flowers, pens, cards, more cables.
This is the view into the closet. Good thing I can close the door.
This is the left corner next to the big Iris bins, my 12" printer sits on top with 8.5x11 cardstock. The shelf is filled with to-do projects and a few finished scrapbooks on the bottom shelf.
Here is the floor at the moment, Nico got in there and knocked over my stack of mags. There are 2 bins that have Christmas/birthday gifts in them, I just need to move them to the other closet in Joe's room. I need to dig out a gift for a birthday party lastweek.
I just moved this shelf into the closet on weds. The mess on the floor will be moved to assigned shelves soon. I wonder what is in those target bags??

Packing kits

I finished packing the MScrop kits, YEEHAW!

I did do a layout today of Nico coved in school glue. Thanks JEN! Then I worked on Henry's Art Portfolio that for the store's DT. I used Basic Grey Recess paper line and 7gypsies large portfolio to hold a few of Henry's artwork.

I'll take pictures tomorrow, H. needs to go to bed and me too.

Cards everywhere

I haven't started a layout in the last few days, I have all these scraps that are needing new homes on cards. Who would have thought a few buttons, some glitter and a stamped image would make a nice simple card.

Today I have to do a layout, I have a challenge to post so I better get busy soon. Off to de-clutter, all my ribbon jars are out and the bookshelf is overflowing with misc. stuff that needs to be put back in their assigned homes.

Rain, Rain, Rain

I did a few Halloween cards today. Some reason I'm into making cute Halloweenie cards. Love that jack-0-lantern sticker with all the glitter.

Haven't done a thing!

I worked yesterday 11am t0 11.30pm and I am tired today! The boys have been good today by letting me just lay around and helping with the laundry. H can put away his skivvies & jammies, that's a big help.

Tonight I'm packing up the kits for the MScrop "Road Trip" workshop. Lots of QK letters to cut out and sort. Tomorrow I'll make some cards and do a challenge from one of the yahoogroups.

Nothing going on

I haven't gotten around to do much the last 24 hours other than declutter. I did a few cards and put them up on Etsy.

I found this cute little owl at the store, he so cute and one of the 7 gypsies office stamp w/ the different sayings works perfect with him.

I have 2 sets of pix ready for layouts, so hopefully tonight I will be able to get them together.

Cards

I've been having fun making cards from my scraps, I've been completing about 4 a day. This is inside the Halloween card, just QK Moxie classic size. This font is a bargain at $99 and comes with numbers.

Two Layouts

The boys actually let me do a page this afternoon and they were wide awake watching tv and eating carrots. At this rate I might actually get through a year's worth of photos in a year.
H's school has a Dine Out Fundraiser each week, last week it was Dairy Queen. The place is packed kids with sugar buzzes, crazies I tell ya. This week was Chick-fil-A, H had fit because the playarea was closed because of the rain. I also forgot my camera, argghh. H, Jac0b (classmate) and Nico were all sitting together and giggling and making burping noises.

I've been into straight lines lately, usually I'm a very organic kind of person - nothing can be straight it has to tilt ever so slightly, curves and rounded edges. I guess it justs another "stage" I'm working through but I'm very happy with it. I'm still digging the 11x8.5 landscape pages, luckily I found a pkg of refills for the sei album so I can keep doing more. Is there another company out there that makes these landscape sizes? If anyone lets me know, I'll send them a RAK. Just leave a comment.

This page is about Aunt Cissy leaving the boys, Henry had the biggest bottom lip and hammed it up for the camera. Nico was too upset to look up from the floor but he recovered within 2 minutes when cookies were mentioned.

The patterned paper is some old SEI from a kit (I think) and I really like it. The colours jumped out at me and I had some cardstock scraps that matched the green & dark red flowers. The "Aunt Cissy" is in Maddie Anne, the rest of the title is CK handprint. I wish I had the uppercase to Handprint, this is the 3rd alphabet I have only in lowercase. I didn't learn to buy both upper & lower and now QK only offers the uppers & lowers together - well that is a goodthing. I also love the big Tabs (4x4), finally a tab you can actually write on.

I'm FREE!!!

Joe took the boys up to his parents this weekend and I didn't have to go. I haven't done a dang thing around the house other than scrubbing the bathroom floors, toilets and showers. I even cleaned out the undersink cabinets and found some Sno Bol Toilet cleaner from years ago. This stuff ROCKS! It cleaned the scale/lime ring from the commode, we have well water now but the first 5 years we had horrible hard water. If the water sits still for any length, a ring of minerals will form around the edge. UGHHH.

I did one layout this weekend but played with lots of product and shopped for new toys. I did 5 cards but gave them away already, I have to remember to take pictures as soon as I make a card/project.Here's a snapshot of Nico reading a book by his favourite author - Richard Scarry. He just lounges at my feet and talks about the pictures and pointing out funny details.

I putting the finishing touches on the Grateful 4 project. Need to print up some pictures, add a little journaling and hand it in. Inside are little handmade envelopes to hold notes & extra pictures. I love BG Mellow line.

Stained with ink

I can not get that 7g ink off my skin! I'm still covered up and down my arms and legs with barely faded flowers/dots/viewer discretion/parenthesis.

I'm almost finish with "Grateful 4" portfolio, need to take some pictures tomorrow and make some more cards. Another project in the wings is about Henry's artwork from school. Need to do something about all these piles. Using the large 7gypsies portfolio for the outside and Basic Grey Recess papers & rub-ons. Haven't decided on the inners yet.

Another day, Another no dollar

I only completed 3 cards today but I did make veggie enchiladas for dinner and washed & dried 3 loads of laundry. H wears uniforms to school and then changes into play clothes when he gets home, he can't wait to get his unis off. Between the 2 boys, they produce enough dirty laundry in one day to clothe a small village.

Help ME.....

This is what happens when I lay down for a few seconds, I'm attacked by the stamping posse. I was covered and still am covered with 7g stamps.

Busy Sunday

I left Joe to contend with the boys most of Sunday and did 2 projects, one is a 7gypsies Matchbox with cards and then did the Love, Elsie House book with the new Jack+ Abby papers/stickers. Getting enought sleep helps with ambition & house cleaning.

I made a book about what I like about my house, for example the big windows & my studio closet.

I think these are the first projects that I haven't inked up, but the house book is missing something maybe more doodlings around the edges or some INK!

Saturday, September 8, 2007

I went over to the Doodle last night to hang out with Jen & Dee and to get some work done. DIDN'T HAPPEN! I did spend some money.

I picked up QuicKutz Maddie Anne & Rev. Tabs, Love, Elsie Jack + Abby stamps & paper and 2 new black American Crafts Precision Pens, an orange & a lime green AC memory marker.

Lifestyles Gym is having a grand opening by our house, they had a firetruck & a bounce house for the kids. Henry spotted the firetruck before anyone else, he was so excited. He spent about 45mins talking to the guy and asking "what's that? What's that?" Then he jumped around the bounce house for 20mins and ate a sno cone. I went and sat in the car with the a/c running while he sat and ate his sno cone, way to hot to be outside at high noon.

I'm planning on doing some more of these cute clocks for my family. Now I just need to get going on them. C-mas is only 1oosomething days away. (rolling eyes)

Some card makin'

The pictures are cr@ppy, the dRebel just died and I can't find the extra battery.
These are all done with scraps of papers, rub-ons and colours that are not "me". Like hot pink, mint, teal and red. You really can not see the small details: glitter, bling, watercolours and doodling in grey.

Some scrappin' going on

Yes, I did some scrappin' and card makin' yesterday.
This is another project I finished up, it was lots of fun to do using rub-ons & stamps. Its all about Nick and cuteness.
